ABOUT US

Architecture Social Club is an artist-led studio building instruments of feeling — architectural-scale works of light, sound, and movement that shift perception. We combine physical craft, precision engineering, and bespoke digital technologies to realise each work.

Our work creates moments of collective presence — shared encounters between people, place, and space.

Commissioned and presented by the Smithsonian, Microsoft, Adidas, Liberty London, the National Centre for the Performing Arts Beijing, and Megaron Athens.

OUR FOUNDER

Satyajit Das is an artist and trained architect whose work is concerned with how physical space shapes perception. He is the founder and Creative Director of Architecture Social Club.

Trained at the Royal College of Art and the University of Cambridge, he previously worked at Foster + Partners. Before founding his studio, he created Firefly — music events that introduced electronic music to new audiences in the UK, hosting artists including Justice, Hot Chip, and Jeff Mills.

His work uses light, sound, and movement to shift how we feel and connect.

Commissions include Microsoft, the Smithsonian, Liberty London, and a collaboration with film director Zhang Yimou at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing.

He lectures in Engineering and Architectural Design at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
